Who built the log church in Happy Camp? That is definitely part of the beautiful story. I have reason to believe it is my husbands grandfather who built it.
Thank you Susan, it was definitely a community project as many took part. There were also pastor’s and their families who came from near towns, which out in the forest like this was often a long distance! I believe the man who drew up the design was a Mr. Tuttle. I will check and correct if that isn’t the correct name. He visited the church a few decades ago and I believe is mentioned in Rev. Dr. Leon L. Loofbourow’s writings.
