Happy May Day!!
This Wednesday is going to be my youngest daughter’s birthday and also, May Day. Happy Birthday, Elizabeth!
Now, I know, everyone wants to celebrate the first of May differently, but when I was a little girl in Deephaven, Minnesota we would go to the woods and pick white bloodroots and purple violets and other spring flowers that were poking their heads out of the snow!! Then we’d make little baskets of flowers and put them on the door or doorsteps of our neighbors to wish them all a happy May Day and celebrate spring!
Wish that I had oodles of flowers and little baskets to put on the doors of each of our Klamath Neighbors who make our town and the communities along the beautiful wild Klamath River so delightful. NO matter how lovely it is, it is the friendly wonderful neighbors that make it such a wonderful place to live.
Thank you for all you do for your family, friends and neighbors. And thank you for all you volunteer do to make our community so great!
the first days of May will be busy!! Thuesday is the National Day of Prayer and believers will gather at the Flagpole in Happy Camp at noon next to the post office for prayer.
Friday is the Enchilada Dinner at the Grange. (see below for informatin on this delicious dinner)
and Saturday is the Curly Jack Road Yard Sale day with some of the proceeds going to the Happy Camp Community Neighborhood Watch program.
Tuesday is the monthly Happy Camp Chamber of Commerce meeting at six at the Chamber office 35 Davis Road.
Thanks again for all you do!!
