Holiday Happenings in Happy Camp!
Today, Friday Dec. 8 be sure to be at the Forest Service parking lot on Hwy 96 for the COMMUNITY TREE LIGHTING at 5:30. The Forest Lodge Motel Ladybugs will be serving popcorn (from Scott Valley Bank) and warm cider. Then as soon as the tree is lit, a special visitor in red suit will come and hear all the kids tell him their fondest wishes for Christmas. He will have a candy cane or orange for them all.
Saturday, Good Neighbors are needed at the Orientation and training meeting at 9 at the Log High School 34 Fourth Avenue. Lunch will be provided! this Neighborhood Watch training is sponsored by the Family Resource Center, Karuk Tribe and Siskiyou Sheriff Department to combat crime in out community.
The Winter program at Happy Camp High School will be Dec 13th. There will be a Lasagna, salad, french bread dinner for only $8 for scholarships for out students. There will be students art work to view and the performances of many of the students too! there will be a Silent Auction with may great items for you to purchase with funds going to the yearbook.
Next week Mrs. Santa will read Christmas stories to the children at the Family Resource Center on Wednesday Dec 19th.. This is a change of date as the Happy Camp Elementary School winter program will be Thursday, Dec 20th.
